A popular tourist destination in the Granite State is Ossipee Lake, located in eastern New Hampshire just northeast of Lake Winnipesaukee. Ossipee Lake rings in as the sixth largest fresh water body fully contained within the state, right behind Lake Sunapee. The lake covers over 3200 acres and is fed by the West Branch River, the Bearcamp River, Pine River and the Lovell River. The lake flows out to the east and into the Ossipee River which empties into the Saco River in neighboring Maine.

Ossipee Lake is well known for its scenic views of the surrounding mountains, which include Green Mountain, Stacey Mountain, Rattlesnake Mountain, Cannan Mountain, Ossipee Mountain and Mount Shaw.
