Pelham is located in Hillsborough County and offers a high quality of life for its residents. This community is located 34 miles to Boston and 19 miles to the Manchester Boston Regional Airport. US routes 128 and 38 run through the and easy access to Route 93 is just minutes away. Pelham was named after Henry Pelham, a British Prime Minister, it was incorporated in 1746 and was a farming community for over two hundred years.

Shortly after World War II the population as well as industry began to grow. Mixing old with new, Pelham still retains its old world charm and echoes from the past can be found all over town. 

The Abbott Bridge is perhaps the oldest structure in this town. The Abbott Bridge is a double arched stone bridge that was built in the late 1700’s. What makes it so remarkable is that it was built without mortar, the stones were layered to form the bridge. The Pelham Historical Society maintains all historical artifacts and buildings in this community.

According to the 2010 US Census there are approximately 12,897 residents in this community and a landmass of 26.4 square miles. The residents place a high value on education. Pelham has one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. There is also a private school in this community. Each of these schools offers a progressive curriculum.

Pelham has many parks however, the most frequented is Muldoon Park. There are many different trails for hiking, biking and walking. Many of these trails lead to ponds where residents can be found fishing. There are four baseball fields, and for residents who enjoy a round of golf there is an eighteen-hole golf course.
