Nashua is a city in Hillsborough County and is the second largest city in New Hampshire and northern New England. There are many national retail and food chains in this community, as well as malls and restaurants. Nashua is 45 miles north of Boston MA and 16 miles from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. It was twice named by Money Magazine as the best place to live in America. The Everett Turnpike (US Route 3) runs through this community.
Nashua was first settled as a fur-trading town in 1655, however it gradually became industrialized with the onset of the industrial revolution and was primarily a mill town. The Nashua Manufacturing Company produced 9.3 million yards of cloth annually.
There are 86,494 residents in this city according to the 2010 census and a landmass of 31.8 square miles. There are numerous mills that have been restored and are home to many companies both domestic and international.

It has an excellent educational system with 11 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 2 high schools offering a challenging curriculum to its students. The Nashua school district and parents in this community came together and developed a strategic plan that ensures the academic success of every student.
The Nashua Historical Society preserves and maintains the city’s history. The Florence H. Speare Memorial Museum houses many of the city’s artifacts. There is also the Abbot-Spaulding House Museum that is open for tours during spring, summer and fall.
Nashua is a culturally diverse community. There are many events through the year for residents to enjoy food, games and entertainment. This community also has its own newspaper, radio and television stations.
