Lincoln, New Hampshire is a must-see for anyone considering the purchase of a home in New Hampshire. He held the position of Comptroller of Customs for the port of Lincoln under the King of England at the time, which was vitally important for trade between America and England. A part of Lincoln, known then as Pullman, was one of the earliest limber towns in the United States.

The massive ski resort known as Loon Mountain is based in Lincoln, New Hampshire. This is the one of the largest ski resorts in the state, and gets nearly 1,000 people per day in the wintertime and boasts over 100 open trails at peak operation. There are several theaters in which traveling tour shows visit, as well as community auditions for more local shows. Outdoor activities range from hunting and fishing to scenic walks through historic Franconia Notch and biking through the woods of the White Mountain National Forest. Interstate Route 93 is located very close to Lincoln which makes a drive from Lincoln to Manchester a trip involving less than an hour's drive; and a trip to the state capital of Concord, NH, takes even less time than that.
Lincoln is part of the NH SAU #68, which includes children from both Lincoln and Woodstock, New Hampshire. Lin-Wood Public School, located in Lincoln, is an accredited school in the Lincoln-Woodstock Cooperative which educates both Lincoln and Woodstock children from kindergarten through the twelfth grade.
